Sutton Foster was a Tony Award winner in recognition of her Tony Award winning performance as Anything Goes in Thoroughly Modern Millie and as a character in Little Women. The first time she appeared in a television show on Star Search at age 15, and has more recently appeared as a character in Bunheads, Psych, Johnny and the Sprites, Flight of the Conchords, Sesame Street, Law and Order SVU and Royal Pains. Sutton Foster has toured the United States and internationally in a duo with Michael Rafter. She performed songs from "Wish" which was her debut solo album, as well as her second CD, "An evening With Sutton Foster: live at Caf Carlyle". Ball State University conferred her with an honorary doctorate in the year 2011. Alongside being an instructor and advisor at the Department of Theatre and Dance, she was also awarded this degree by Ball State University. In March 2015 she began playing the role of "Younger" in TVLand the new TV show created by Darren Star.
